Man beheads his wife after discovering he was not the father of their four children

JAMAICA'S police force has launched a massive manhunt for a man who beheaded his common law wife and chopped up her body after discovering that he was not the biological father of their four children.

In a macabre attack in Back Bush, Mountain View, over the weekend, mother of six, Karen Rainford, 34, was viciously attacked by her husband after a paternity test proved that their last four children who he believed were his belong to someone else. Stunned by the brutality of the attack, local residents said this level of violence was alien to them.

Police are now hunting for the man known as Hopeton, who had thought that the kids aged 11, eight, five and three were his but found out a while ago they were not. Residents claimed they had always thought the man was insane, as he sat in ominous silence on a mound for long periods with a piece of rope, vowing that he would eventually get Karen.

Hopeton was said to be angry that Karen had followed him from site to site embarrassing him for child support perhaps knowing that the children were not his, which eventually prompted him to kill her. Ms Rainford's mother, Karlene Campbell, was said to be unable to contain herself after hearing the news.

According to local people, Hopeton had been forced to leave the community after stabbing Ms Rainford sometime ago and afraid of him, Karen kept her distance since the break-up. However, he eventually returned and carried out his deadly attack, inflicting multiple wounds to Ms Rainford's body.

Many of the local women expressed fear that the attacker, whom they described as being mad and demonic, would return to the community with a vengeance. Apparently, his mother, who lives nearby, collapsed when she heard the news and had to be rushed to hospital.
