In a bid to clear his name and to answer to some of the allegations against him by the EFCC, ex-minister, Obanikoro who has been out of the country has returned to Nigeria and surrendered to the anti-graft agency.
Musiliu Obanikoro
We reported it earlier that former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, who has been out of the country for over a year has returned to the country this morning to answer to some of the allegations against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
SaharaReporters had earlier revealed on its official Twitter account that Obanikoro reportedly touched ground early this morning in Abuja, the nation’s capital enroute London Heathrow.
The publication who had earlier tweeted that hours after arriving Abuja, Obanikoro did not surrender to the EFCC as promised, has now confirmed that the embattled PDP chieftain, has finally surrendered to the anti-graft agency.
Efforts to reach Obanikoro were not fruitful as family members said he would not speak until he is done with the EFCC.
ThisDay gathered that he would be led to the commission by his two lawyers, Lawal Pedro and James Onoja, both Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN).
