'If you want to win any election, pay Femi not to support you,” - Jimoh Ibrahim

As electorates in Ondo State wait for the final declaration of the winner of the 2016 governorship election in the state, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Jimoh Ibrahim, and dethroned aspirant in the just concluded election has launched another attack on his fellow party man, Femi Fani Kayode.

The duo has been in the social media war of word before the Saturday’s election which saw Rotimi Akeredolu of the APC coasting home to victory.

Ibrahim, who was sacked by the Supreme Court as the PDP candidate switched his support to APC, asking the people of the state to vote for Akeredolu.

So far, of the 18 Local Government Areas of the state, results of 17 Local Government Areas have been submitted, out of which Akeredolu is comfortably leading in 14 LGAs.

Results of the 17 Local Government Areas announced show that
Akeredolu is leading with 237,812 votes while his main contender, Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP is trailing behind him with, 145,367. Olusola Oke garnered 104,111 votes.

Reacting, Jimoh, an oil mogul took to his twitter page to mock Fani-Kayode for his colossal defeat in the election.

He warned other aspirants not to seek the support of the former Aiation minister in subsequent election.

 

“I had no doubt that Jegede would lose as Femi Fani-Kayode was supporting him. If you want to win any election, pay Femi not to support you,” he tweeted.
