Following the endorsement of his candidacy for the 2019 presidential election by Aisha Jummai Alhassan, a Minister of Women affairs in the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has been the subject of discourse among Nigerians.
Recall the Waziri Adamawa recently said he had been abandoned by the All Progressives Congress led federal government despite the role he played in ensuring its victory in the 2015 general elections.
Though he is yet to announce his ambition, it has been widely mooted he would contest in the 2019 election and might even dump APC for the Peoples’ Democratic Party to achieve his goal.
