While it helped to bring strangers from different cultures across the country together, it also did the opposite for others. Clearly, a lot of Nigerians supported the two most popular presidential candidates.

While some supported their candidate of choice because he was from the same state/region, others did so because he was of the same faith as them. Only a few voted for true reasons. There were even prophetical injunctions from notable men of God in and outside the country, about who would be the winner of the presidential elections. All this and more characterized the pre-presidential election days in Nigeria.
Fast forward to today, a few days after Buhari emerged as the winner. The popular radio host Freeze of CoolFm took to his Twitter page to throw shades at some people who he thinks supported President Jonathan during his campaign period, hoping he would be re-elected. Freeze, in a series of tweets he titled “Top 5 people who I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes”, listed five popular people (celebrities) that were loyal supporters of Goodluck Jonathan…he listed Bishop David Oyedepo as number 5 on the list.
Oyedepo recently spoke about the forthcoming elections in Nigeria, giving an insight into what will happen as the elections draw nearer.
As religion continues to infiltrate politics, a Ghanaian pastor, Apostle B.B. Frederick also made his own revelations known concerning the 2015 elections and what would happen to President Goodluck Jonathan.
