Despite campaigning on a promise to turn around the Nigerian economy and defeat Boko Haram, President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, has asked Nigerians not to expect him to perform miracles.
While speaking on the Boko Haram insurgency in a recent interview with the BBC, Buhari said total victory against the Islamist sect would not be achieved as soon as he gets into power, but with cooperation from neighboring countries and the Nigerian military’s increased commitment, the war would be won in a short time.
