Officials of the Directorate of State Security (DSS) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday morning have laid siege to the residence of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Abuja.
This development is coming also after the Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s home was locked down by police officers and his convoy prevented from leaving the premises to attend to the invitation by the Inspector General of Police, Idris K. Ibrahim.
It’s unclear what the motive for this is but it is believed to be related to the alleged move by the Senate leadership and some national assembly members to decamp from the ruling Party.
