Last Tuesday, Ondo State House of Assembly on Tuesday issued an impeachment notice against the Deputy Governor of the state, Alhaji Ali Olanusi.

PUNCH reports that the impeachment notice was endorsed by 20 out of the 26 lawmakers in the House. Offences leveled against the deputy governor include; gross misconduct to financial misappropriation and absence from official duties.

The impeachment notice is coming weeks after the deputy governor defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
