The Leader of Destiny Campaign Organisation and Imo State Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial aspirant in the just concluded general election, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, has declared the PDP dead in the state.
Ararume said the PDP’s culture of impunity cost it the governorship seat of the state.
He said this in his office, along Ontisha- Owerri road, during a ceremony organised in honour of those who worked for the re-election of the state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
He emphasized that it was not easy for the organisation to make a decision on who to support, stressing that he has no regret in the resolution as it yielded the expected result.
While commending them, Ararume assured the people that they will not be left behind in Okorocha’s administration.
“Support also the President-elect in his quest to rebuild Nigeria”, Ararume told the people.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Owerri, Sir Jude Ejiogu, who represented the governor, in his speech assured the Destiny Campaign Organisation members that they were part of the All Peoples Congress.
He told them that the governor was impressed by their role in securing victory for the party. He encouraged them to go to their wards and register in the APC.
Besides, the Speaker, Benjamin Uwajimogu of the State of House of Assembly, applauded them for a work well done and charged them to fall in line with the APC.
