President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of new Chancellors for all the 38 Federal Universities in the country.
In a statement signed by the Minister of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau,
According to the new list, Oni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, is the new Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), while Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakarand Igwe Chikezie Agubuzu head the University of Ibadan (UI) and the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) respectively.
Shekarau asked the Vice chancellors of the respective institutions to contact their new Chancellors to arrange for their appropriate inauguration.
