President Goodluck Jonathan has moved to "save" the Peoples Democratic Party from collapsing as he met with some stakeholders of the party, Wednesday evening. There have been calls from some PDP Chiefs including Governors of Ekiti and Niger States, Ayodele Fayose and Babangida Aliyu respectively to the National Working Committee of the party, led by Alhaji Adamu Mu'azu to resign over alleged complicity in the party’s defeat in the general elections. Although President Jonathan had earlier intervened in the party crisis, the blame game has continued.
Wednesday's meeting was described as private and was not open to newsmen. Those however cited on the way to the meeting included: the National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, and the National Woman Leader, Kema Chikwe.
