he Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Professor Charles Soludo of APGA as the winner of the Anambra 2021 governorship election Soludo, a former governor of the CBN polled 112,229 votes to defeat his close rivals from the PDP and the APC The APGA candidate also defeated his contenders in 19 of the 21 local government areas in the southeast state.
Awka, Anambra state – Professor Charles Soludo, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has been declared the winner of the November 6 Anambra governorship election. Professor Florence Obi, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s returning officer for the election, on Wednesday, November 10, declared Soludo who polled 112,229 votes as the winner.
Soludo won in 19 of the 21 local government areas in the southeast state.
The APGA candidate was trailed by Valentine Ozigbo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 53,807.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Andy Uba, occupied the third spot with 43,285 while Senator Ifeanyi Uba, Young Progressives Party (YPP)’s candidate came fourth with 21,261 votes.
