After a meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Wednesday, the executive of the party directed the chairman of the party in Osun state to take disciplinary action against the Director of Media and Publicity, Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode.
In a letter addressed to the state chairman and signed by the National Secretary of the party, Prof. Wale Oladipo, the NWC urged that proper disciplinary actions should be meted against Fani-kayode through the ward for engaging in acts contrary to section 56(1)(b) of the party constitution.
“The NWC at its meeting held on Wednesday, 20th May, 2015, reviewed the press war mounted against the NWC by Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode,” the letter said.
The state chairman was asked to take proper disciplinary actions against Fani-kayode if he is a registered and Financial member of the party.
In the event that after investigation it is found out that Fani-Kayode is not a proper member of the party, the letter asked the state chairman to “reprimand him as an usurper”.
The state chairman was asked to communicate whatever decision taken to the NWC.
