Yakubu Dogara, a former speaker of the House of Representatives, has responded to Festus Keyamo's characterization of him as a political backstabber and prostitute.
As reported by Daily Trust, Keyamo berated Dogara in a tweet on Sunday for his remarks regarding President Muhammadu Buhari's endorsement of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC's presidential candidate.
At a campaign event in Nasarawa State, Dogara had referred to Buhari's support of Tinubu as mocking.
Keyamo responded on Twitter, writing, "This message is beneath you, @YakubDogara, my brother and law school classmate. Being supported by PMB for @officialABAT, two leaders who have remained faithful to their ideals and causes in contrast to you, a political prostitute, traveller, and backstabber, truly hurts you.
However, Dogara, who appeared enraged by Keyamo's remark, warned the Minister on Twitter that they do not fall under the same category.
As a condition of friendship, he wrote, "My brother, I have a name for you but I won't use it since it's not a good one. Yes, we were friends in law school, but before we can be friends in politics, I need you to succeed in a council election. Train to punch lighter than your weight category.
