Ben Murray-Bruce has come under attack from Nigerians on twitter for making contradicting statements regarding the elections that saw Senator Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu emerge as Senate president and deputy respectively.

Senator Ben Murray Bruce who is representing Bayelsa East Senatorial Zone on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had claimed to be bitter about his inability to take part in the elections that saw the new leadership of the Senate emerge.

In a video clip aired on Silver Bird television, he said he lost the historic opportunity to vote because the management of the National Assembly carried out the elections before he and many other Senators could arrive at the National Assembly complex.

However, the Senator contradicted himself in a tweet where he said he voted for Bukola Saraki as Senate President and Senate President and Ekweremadu as deputy.

The contradictory claims by Ben Bruce attracted scatting remarks from Nigerians on Twitter who labeled him a liar.

They queried why the respected politicians was contradicting himself having earlier claimed that he didn’t take part in the elections in the first-place.

This is not the first time Ben Bruce will be getting a backlash on twitter over controversial tweets, last month he was criticised for tweeting that politicians who enrich themselves at the expense of the people would go to the hottest part of hell
