Former Governor Lamido: ''You mean I am now a prisoner? '' .Court Registrar: ''No sir, you are not a prisoner''.

On Thursday, Justice Evelyn Anyadike of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, and his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha, accused of fraud to be remanded in prison custody in Kano till September 28.

According to VANGUARD, when the court gave the order Lamido exclaimed saying, ''You mean I am now a prisoner? '' . The Deputy Chief Registrar, however, tried to calm him down saying, ''No sir, you are not a prisoner''.

Lamido and his sons are accused of using their positions to steal from Jigawa state.
