From Toronto to Ottawa: Toyin Dada is ready for Ottawa as Conservative Candidate

Toyin Dada is a Nigerian-Canadian living in Toronto, she is a member of the Yoruba Community Association (YCA) in Toronto.  Toyin Dada is known as a lady with a multi-lateral combinations of sterling qualities. She is the Conservative Candidate to represent the constituents of Etobicoke North in Ottawa.  Toyin Dada’s resume is eye popping  evidencing her readiness to take the bull by the horn.

Toyin Dada wants to see strong infrastructure  in place with full support from the Federal  level, with the central idea of providing jobs for  the Torontonians.  As a leader and Director in different organizations she wants Canada to continue to assist  and be a leader in immigration and the refugee system.  Toyin sees a lot of issues facing immigrants  and refugees and wants a full scale support from the government.

The 2nd daughter in a hardworking immigrant family of 7, Toyin made Etobicoke her home at a young age and has invested countless hours serving our community, Toronto, Ontario and Canada at large. The Executive Director of an active non-profit community organization, an entrepreneur, community leader, social worker, accomplished artist and Bachelor of Science (Biology) graduate of York University; Toyin is dedicated to bringing change to our community through many mediums such as politics, business, advocacy, mentorship, and the arts.

Toyin's dad is a Chemical Engineer and the Pastor of a community church, while her mum is a Lawyer called to the Bar here in Canada, as well as in Nigeria. She is the second of five daughters, with a hardworking older sister who graduated from Humber College with degrees in Nursing and Child and Youth Work. Two of her younger sisters are currently in post secondary education and the last born of the family is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate High School program.

She believes that a great part of her and her sisters' successes have come from being part of a strong close-knit family that have been a backbone of support to one another since migrating to Canada years ago. She is dedicated to ensuring that other youth and young adults receive the support they need to achieve their full potential as well.

As an industrious youth immigrant entrepreneur (aged 16-17), Toyin’s business earned over $150,000 in 2 years.

As well as being an entrepreneur, she is a community advocate and youth engagement consultant. She has founded two youth leadership development forums that have trained over 1,000 youth in creating positive change in their communities throughout Ontario.

As a recording artist, Toyin has released two full-length albums, 2 singles, hosted a television talk show with AMET TV for 2 years, delivered feature performances at over 300 events across North America, and received the African Entertainment Best Female Gospel Artist Award in 2011.

In 2015 she was selected as one of the "100 Black Women To Watch" in Canada.

She has been honored with numerous academic, community, and arts awards and has an undisputable track record of selfless dedication, leadership, initiative, hard work with a genuine passion for our community!

She is a long-term resident of the community along with her extended family and currently lives with her husband within the riding. As a child, Toyin attended North Kipling Junior Middle School and North Albion Collegiate Institute, before attending York University for a Biology degree. Currently Toyin serves as the Executive Director of an active non-profit community organization, is an entrepreneur, community leader, social worker, and accomplished artist with 3 albums released.
