The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has opened discussions with notable northern politicians, urging them to return to the party, dangling the 2019 presidency before their eyes, Punch reports.
The party recently zoned the 2019 presidency to the north and believes it made a mistake fielding ex president Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 elections.
Among the politicians being wooed are:
- Senate President Bukola Saraki
- HoR Speaker Yakubu Dogara
- Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso
- Sokoto state governor Aminu Tambuwal
