The chairman of Africa Independent Television (AIT), Raymond Dokpesi, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to Sahara Reporters, Dokpesi was arrested today, Tuesday, December 1, for being a party of the arms purchase scandal involving the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and the theft of N2.1billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Dokpesi was arrested this afternoon and he is currently being quizzed. EFCC sources said Dokpesi was arrested because the Central Bank Nigeria paid N2.1billion to the AIT chairman on the instructions of the Dasuki.
Meanwhile, a former minister of state for finance, Bashir Yuguda, has been arrested together with other top officials from the office of the National Security Adviser over the controversial arms procurement scandal surrounding former NSA, Sambo Dasuki. Yuguda was arrested in Abuja Monday afternoon, November 30, and has been questioned by detectives.
