The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in the forthcoming Benue Zone C senatorial re-run, Comrade Dan Onjeh has advised his opponent, David Mark to tender unreserved apology to people of the constituency for ‘oppressing’ them for 16 years.
Onjeh said the 16 years of Mark in the senate was nothing but absolute disaster.
Speaking on a Channels TV programme, Sunrise Daily and monitored by our reporter on Thursday, Onjeh said Mark should honourably back out of the race and submit himself to the anti-graft agency.
Asked how prepared he was for the rerun, Onjeh, a former NANS and WASU president boasted that electorates in Benue South “are wiser now and won’t be fooled by Mark’s rice, salt and tomatoes.”
“The truth is that Mark has never won any election in Benue South. He boasted that our people will vote him again. That’s hilarious. He should apologise to our people for oppressing them for 16,” Onjeh said.
Onjeh said Mark’s promise of Apa State would no longer help him at the polls.
Meanwhile, camp of the former Senate president shunned the live interview as no one from his end showed up for the live debate.
