The All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in the forthcoming Benue South rerun senatorial election, Comrade Daniel Onjeh has denied the claims that his opponent, David Mark of the PDP, sponsored his education.
Onjeh, a former NANS president was responding the claims by the National Association of Idoma Students, NAIS that Senator Mark paid his school fees when he was an undergraduate in a University in Ghana.
“David Mark couldn’t have condescended to tell a barefaced lie that he sponsored my study in Ghana.
“If he did, I make bold to say he’s a LIAR!” he said via twitter.
The Appeal Court sitting in Makurdi had in November nullified the Benue South Senatorial District election held in April of which Mark was declared winner.
The court nullified the election on the grounds of substantial breaches of the Electoral Act.
A re-run has been scheduled for February 2016.
