Bello Begs Faleke To Accept Outcome Of Poll

 

The campaign council of Governor-elect Yahaya Bello has asked James Faleke, the running mate, and other angry party members to accept the outcome of the Saturday’s election as the wish of God.

 

The All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign spokesperson, Abdulmalik Suleiman, released a statement on the development that Faleke is not satisfied with the outcome of the poll.

 

He said: “We plead with them to cooperate with Bello to develop the state in line with the vision of our late icon, Prince Abubakar Audu.”

The statement also pleaded with all supporters to back the governor-elect in the task of developing the Kogi state, continuing that all hands must be on deck.

No winner, no vanquished, we must continue as one united family that we are. The governor- elect is a humble man who will not discriminate against anyone within the party,” the statement reads in part.

Party’s campaign spokesman restated the need for all people of the state to pray and work towards peace, stability and progress of Kogi, stressing the need for the people to support their leaders for the benefit of all.

Suleiman also wished all Kogites memorable transition.

 

Bello, who is substitute to late Abubakar Audu, who was seeking a second term in office.

 

 

The substitution of the late candidate of the APC had caused different views, as to what the Nigerian Constitution and the Electoral Act proscribe, when the death of a candidate occurs during an electoral process.
