A jealous teenager has taken the life of his classmate by beheading him for sitting with his girlfriend.

A Massachusetts teenager Mathew Borges is currently facing murder trial after he stabbed his classmate Lee Manuel Viloria-Paulino, and later beheaded him for sitting with his girlfriend in the cafeteria of Lawrence High School in U.S.

The prosecutor, Jay Gubitose, said that argument later ensued between Borges and Viloria-Paulino following the development which happened in 2016.

“The defendant was tough on the outside but insecure on the inside.

“He was jealous and started screaming at her,” Gubitose said, according to the Boston Herald.

Gubitose told the jury that Borges, who was 15 years old at the time, sent his girlfriend a text that said: “I think of killing someone and I smirk … It’s all I think about every day”.

In November that year, a day before Borges allegedly killed Viloria-Paulino, he texted the girl with whom he had broken up by then because of his jealousies saying: “The next time you see me, look at my eyes because that’s the last time they’ll be like that. They’ll be dead.”

Surveillance video at the home of a neighbor of Viloria-Paulino showed the victim and Borges leaving together and walking toward a river, the prosecutor told the jury.

Borges, who is being tried as an adult, told police that he and the victim walked toward the river to smoke marijuana and that he left.

The video showed four people later walking near the victim’s house, and then returning with duffle bags, the prosecutor said, adding that Viloria-Paulino’s home had been burglarized.

Borges’ attorney, Edward Hayden, said that his client and his friends burglarized Viloria-Paulino’s home, but that Borges did not commit murder.

“Witnesses who are going to say he committed murder are not reliable,” he said, the Boston Herald reported.

Hayden also said that the case against Borges lacked evidence such as DNA, weapons or blood implicating his client.

And while Borges’ texts “supposedly indicate jealousy,” he argued, they did not mention Viloria-Paulino.

“In these thousands of texts and messages there is no evidence that Mathew killed Lee. Anything incriminating is referring to the house break.

“There is nothing in all these messages and there’s no motive,” he said.

Police searching Borges’ home found a journal in which he wrote “kill him,” and he spoke of calling his friends, and telling them to cover their shoes with bags.

“The defendant told them he stabbed him to death and cut his head and hands off so he couldn’t be identified,”Gubitose said.

A man who was walking his dog on December 1 found Viloria-Paulino’s decapitated body by the river.

Police later found his head in a bag close to where the body was located.
It has been revealed that some Nigerians apprehended in Saudi Arabia over drug-related crime might actually be innocent after a drug cartel planting the drugs were uncovered.
The drug cartel

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a cartel which specialised in planting illicit drugs in travellers’ luggage.

The NDLEA Chairman, Col. Muhammad Abdallah (rtd), disclosed this in a statement.

The cartel was uncovered after NDLEA detectives embarked on investigation of a Nigerian lady identified as Zainab Aliyu.

Zainab was accused of entering Saudi Arabia with tramadol. The implication in this discovery by NDLEA is the realisation that many Nigerians arrested and executed for drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia might be innocent. Zainab was arrested by Saudi Arabia Police on December 26, shortly after arriving for Lesser Hajj.

Zainab, a student of Maitama Sule University, Kano, had travelled from Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) in company with her mother, Mrs. Maryam Aliyu, and sister, Hajara Aliyu. She was later arrested over allegations that a luggage, bearing her name tag, contained the unlawful substance.

However, while in detention, the NDLEA had received a petition from Zainab’s father, seeking a probe of his daughter’s ordeal.

The petition was signed by Zainab’s father, Habibu Nuhu Kila, and the travel agent, Rabi Umar Kazaure.

It reads: “I write to complain and call for an investigation on my daughter, Zainab Habibu Aliyu, a student of Maitama Sule University, Kano, who is currently in Saudi Arabia for Lesser Hajj but currently in detention on alleged drug-related issue.

“My wife, Maryam Habibu Aliyu, my daughters, Hajara Habibu Aliyu and Zainab Habibu Aliyu, travelled through Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, on Monday 24th, December, 2018 via Ethiopian Airlines with flight number ET 941, which departed at 2.25p.m. Normal airport process was done in the presence of all staff concerned, including the agent, Haj Rabiu Umar Kazaure, of Tura Travel Agency. My wife and two daughters with three bags of luggage were screened and checked in.

“Unfortunately, early morning on Wednesday, a day after their arrival in Medina after leaving Jeddah, my wife called me that security personnel came and arrested Zainab Habibu Aliyu on an alleged bag that was left at the airport which does not belong to her was tagged to her passport. I made contact with Nigerian Embassy in Saudi Arabia and was advised by the ambassador to report to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency. I therefore send for your investigation to save my innocent daughter.”

Consequently, the NDLEA Commander in charge of MAKIA had launched an investigation, which culminated in the arrest and arraignment before a Federal High Court in Kano of seven staff of the airport.

The accused are Idris Umar Shehu (alias Umar Sanda), Sanni Suleiman, Nuhu Adamu, Rhoda Adetunji, Udosen Itoro Henry and Sanni Hamisu.

Count one reads: “That you, Idris Umar Shehu (alias Umar Sanda), Sanni Suleiman, Nuhu Adamu, Rhoda Adetunji, Udosen Itoro Henry and Sani Hamisu, on or about the 24th day of December 2018 at Mallam Amino Kano International Airport, Kano, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court conspired within yourself to export tramadol – a drug similar to cocaine, heroin and LSD to Saudi Arabia by putting one additional luggage containing tramadol among the luggage of one Zainab Habibu Aliyu, a passenger on Ethiopian Airline Flight No ET941 to Saudi Arabi with passport number A09911835 and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 14(b) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act CapN30L.F.N.2004.”

Count two reads: “That you, Idris Umar (alias Umar Sanda), Sanni Suleiman, Nuhu Adamu, Rhoda Adetunji, Udosen Itoro Henry and Sani Hamisu, on or about the 24th day December 2018 at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano within jurisdiction of this honourable court without lawful authority exported tramadol, a drug similar to cocaine, heroin and LSD to Saudi Arabia by putting one additional luggage containing tramadol among the luggage of one Zainab Habibu Aliyu, a passenger on Ethiopian Airline Flight No ET941 to Saudi Arabi with passport number A09911835 and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 11(b) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act CapN30L.F.N.2004.”

Count three reads: “That you, Idris Umar (alias Umar Sanda), Sanni Suleiman, Nuhu Adamu, Rhoda Adetunji, Udosen Itoro Henry and Sani Hamisu, on or about the 24th day of December 2018 or thereabout, at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano within the jurisdiction of this honourable court without lawful authority did engage in Drug Trafficking Organisation (DTO) by constituting yourselves into a syndicate involved in the transportation of tramadol a drug similar to cocaine, heroin and LSD to Saudi Arabia by putting one additional luggage containing tramadol among the luggage of one Zainab Habibu Aliyu, a passenger on Ethiopian Airline Flight No ET941 to Saudi Arabi with passport number A09911835 and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 20(g) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act Cap N30L.F.N.2004.”

According to a report of the investigation, a copy of which was obtained by New Telegraph, a suspected cartel in the airport had planted the tramadol-bearing luggage on Zainab.

In the report, which has since been forwarded to the Consul-General in Jeddah for action, it was further established that Zainab who, like her mother and sister, had only a luggage, was not aware that a second bag had been labelled in her name.

It was further discovered in the course of investigation, that Rhoda Adetunji, an employee of the airport had“approached them asking for their remaining luggage as the luggage checked-in by the passengers went lower than the total weight”. Adetunji, according to the report, is one of the accused facing trial over the matter.

It was further established in the report, that one of the accused, Sani Suleiman, had sent a WhatsApp picture of two parcels to Umar Sanda.

On December 24, 2018, Suleiman, again, allegedly, “sent a WhatsApp picture of two coloured luggage to phone number … belonging to Alhaju Gabari, now at large”.

The NDLEA added: “Based on the investigation activities carried out, it has been revealed that the said Zainab Habibu Aliyu is not the owner of the second luggage tagged in her name….

“On 24th of December 2018, Maryam Habibu Aliyu and her two daughters, Hajara Habibu Aliyu and Zainab Habibu Aliyu, who are students of Maitamia Sule University, Kano, were to travel to Saudi Arabia for Lesser Hajj. The three passengers had one luggage each. “At the Departure Hall, three bags belonging to the three passengers were given to one Bako A. Salisu, who weighed the bags, tagged and gave the labels to the passengers.

“Immediately the luggage of the passengers were checked in, Rhoda Adetunji, an official of the Airport Authority (one of the accused persons) approached them, asking for their remaining luggage as the luggage checked-in by the passengers were lower than the total weight they were entitled to travel with – two of their luggage weighed 36kgs while one weighed 17kgs.

“The passengers ignored the said Rhoda Adetunji and went to the arrival hall to purchase yellow card and by the time they came back from the arrival hall to the departure hall, screening for boarding had already started and the three passengers all went for boarding. They never consented nor knew that any other luggage was tagged to the name of any of the passengers.

“On 26th of December 2018 about 12.45 midnight, the Saudi Arabia police came to the hotel room of Maryam and her daughters in Saudi Arabia to arrest one of her daughters, Zainab, on allegation that one of the luggage tagged to her name and passed has prohibited drugs, tramadol. Zainab is presently in detention in Saudi Arabi awaiting investigations and prosecutions.

“Following receipt of the complaint, seven people working at MAKIA were arrested in connection with the offence. “In the course of the investigations, the telephones of all the suspects were seized by the agency for investigations, while going through the phones of the suspects one after other, it was discovered that the following happened between Sani Suleiman and Idris Umar alias Umar Sanda. “On 24th December 2018, Sani Suleiman with phone number 08036066448 was in conversation with Umar Sanda with phone number 08065499791 at 8.26a.m., 12.47a.m., 03.56p.m., and 4p.m.

“On the same 24th December 2018, Sani Suleiman with number 08036066448 sent a WhatsApp picture of two parcels to Umar Sanda on phone number 08065499791. “Also on the same 24th December, Suleiman sent a WhatsApp picture of two coloured luggage to phone number belonging to one Alhaji Gabari now at large.”

According to the NDLEA, it was also discovered that on the same 24thDecember 2018, Udosen Itoro Henry issued two tag numbers below luggage of one Ibrahim Abubakar who was also arrested by the Arabia Police for importation of tramadol into Saudi Arabia and also two tag numbers bearing the luggage of Ibrahim Abubakar.

Social Media React As Osayi, Son Of Notorious Armed Robber Lawrence Anini ‘The Law’, Reveals Himself To The World (Photos)

It has been reported that Osayi Anini, son of a well known famous notorious armed robber, Lawrence Anini whose father threatened Nigeria for a very long time revealed himself to the world.

Nairaland

Lawrence Nomanyagbon Anini was popularly known as “the Law” was a Nigerian scoundrel who threatened Benin City during the 1980s.

Lawrence was caught and executed alongside his gang members Monday Osunbor, Friday Ofege, and a cop Iyamu who was providing them weapons and giving them vital information.

Gossip additionally has it that he had otherworldly powers that empower him to vanish and return to any place he wanted to be, Lawrence was that brilliant.

Lawrence Nomanyagbon Anini (c. 1960 – March 29, 1987) was a Nigerian bandit who terrorised Benin City in the 1980s along with his sidekick Monday Osunbor. He was captured and executed for his crimes.

Anini was born in a village about 20 miles from Benin City in present-day Edo State. Anini, dreadfully called ‘The Law’ or ‘Ovbigbo’. He migrated to Benin at an early age, learned to drive and became a skilled taxi driver. He became known in Benin motor parks as a man who could control the varied competing interests among motor park touts and operators.

He later dived into the criminal business in the city and soon became a driver and transporter for gangs, criminal godfathers and thieves. Later on, he decided to create his own gang which included, Monday Osunbor, Friday Ofege, Henry Ekponwan, Eweka and Alhaji zed or Zegezege who was never captured.

They started out as car hijackers, bus robbers, and bank thieves. Gradually, he extended his criminal acts to other towns and cities far north and east of Benin.

The complicity of the police is believed to have triggered Anini’s reign of terror in 1986. In early 1986, two members of his gang were tried and prosecuted against an earlier under-the-table ‘agreement’ with the police to destroy evidence against the gang members. The incident and Anini’s view of police betrayal is believed to have spurred retaliatory actions by Anini.

In August 1986, a fatal bank robbery linked to Anini was reported in which a police officer (Nathaniel Egharevba)and others were killed. That same month, two officers on duty were shot at a barricade while trying to stop Anini’s car. During a span of three months, he was known to have killed nine police officers.

Finally, it took the courage of Superintendent of Police, Kayode Uanreroro to bring the Anini reign of terror to an end. On December 3, 1986, Uanreroro caught Anini at No 26, Oyemwosa Street, opposite Iguodala Primary School, Benin City, in company with six women. Acting on a tip-off from the locals, the policeman went straight to the house where Anini was hiding and apprehended him with very little resistance. Uanreroro led a crack 10-man team to the house, knocked on the door of the room, and Anini himself, clad in underpants, opened the door.

“Where is Anini,” the police officer quickly enquired.

It was believed that his girlfriend had a hand in his arrest. she probably collaborated with the police and took Anini’s charms away before the police arrived. same as the case of Samson in the Bible. Dazed as he was caught off guard and having no escape route, Anini, all the same, tried to be smart.

“Oh, Anini is under the bed in the inner room”.

As he said it, he made some moves to walk past Uanreroro and his team. In the process, he shoved and head-butted the police officer but it was an exercise in futility.

Uanreroro promptly reached for his gun, stepped hard on Anini’s right toes and shot at his left ankle. Anini surged forward but the policemen took hold of him and put him in a sitting position. They then pumped more bullets into his shot leg and almost severed the ankle from his entire leg. Already, anguished by the excruciating pains, the policemen asked him;

“Are you Anini?”

And he replied, “My brother, I won’t deceive you; I won’t tell you lie, I’m Anini.”

Nigerians react on it, the majority expressed their thoughts saying the son should be watched since he was birthed by a notorious armed robber.

After being accused of not being a Nigerian and thus unfit to contest for to be President, Atiku has replied.
Atiku Abubakar

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar who contested in the 2019 presidential election under the umbrella of the People Democratic Party (PDP), has described the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress contesting his citizenship as “idiotic”.

Atiku revealed this through his media aide, Paul Ibe, who told Saturday Sun, that it was an insult to Nigerians and the office of Vice President which he occupied for eight years, for the APC to question his nationality.

“That is idiotic. It is idiotic. And it is ridiculous. Atiku Abubakar is a former Vice President of Nigeria.

“Are they telling us that a former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is not a Nigerian? That is disrespectful to Nigerians and for the office he has held, which other people will hold and will continue to hold.

“Everything must not be on the altar of politics,” Ibe said.

Recall that APC has filed a motion at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja, stating Atiku is not a Nigerian.

The party in its petition filed by its lead counsel, Lateef Fagbemi, faulted the candidacy of Atiku in the election, adding that he is a Cameroonian.

Following the robbery attack on one of the branches of First Bank in Ondo State on the April 8, details have started emerging on the circumstances surrounding the bloody attacked.

Recall that just like one of the action scenes of a Hollywood movie, dare-devil armed bandits had storm Idoani, headquarters of Ose Local Government, where the robbers for over one hour held the town by the jugular as they unleashed terror in a bid to rob the bank.

Days after the incident which shook the entire state, the trails of tears and sorrow left behind by the gunmen still pervades the community’s atmosphere as many find it difficult to comprehend that their loved ones are no more.

At the end of the terrifying gunshots, the attack left seven people dead; four bank officials, including the Operation Manager of the bank, Sunday Akindele; two customers and a police officer. One of the victims was said to have died in the hospital.

Unearthing what could have led to the deadly attack, sources revealed that it might not be unconnected with a tip-off that the sum of N25 million was to be deposited in the bank’s vault on the day of the attack.

According to one of the sources who craved anonymity, the money was being expected in the bank which was to be brought in by a bullion van before the robbers struck.

“It cannot be waved off that the robbers did not know that such amount was due for arrival, going by the time they attacked.

“But they (robbers) got to the bank before the arrival of the bullion van which had made a decision immediately it got wind of the attack.

“There’s the possibility that, that was what infuriated them to have killed those on that sad and terrible day.

Another source also emphazied that the gunmen must have acted on a tip off, particularly within the bank.

“That there is an informant involved should not be ruled out.

“They acted based on the information someone gave them and such privileged information can only come from within.

“The only appeal is that the security agencies working on the case should endeavour to get to the root of the attack and all those involved should be made to pay for their dastardly act.”

Meanwhile, the State Police Command has continued to assure residents that the culprits will be apprehended just as police source confirmed to DAILY POST that more arrests have been made in connection with the robbery.
