The Story Of Woman Who Became A Drug Dealing Nun After Her Husband Stole Her Cash (Photos)

Tuesday, 14 May 2019 20:40 Written by
A woman has told the story of how she became a drug-dealing nun after her husband left her totally penniless.

Christine Meeusen

A single mum left penniless by her bigamist husband has revealed the incredible story of how she became a nun and started a multi-million pound DRUGS empire.

Raised a Catholic, Christine Meeusen, 59, worked as a business analyst in Georgia, USA.

Falling in love with a divorced man, she had three children and was happy - living in Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

But in 2005 disaster struck when she learnt her $1million dollar savings had vanished - and her husband had taken them.

She then uncovered further deception when she uncovered a filing cabinet in their garage which revealed her husband had never got divorced - and was still married to his first wife.

Now, following a series of bizarre life decisions, she lives as a nun in California and has a cannabis empire worth an astonishing $5 million, she told the Mirror.

"It felt good getting rid of Christine and becoming Sister Kate," she explained.

"My dream was to empower women like myself, who’d had a rough path in life, to run their own business – producing medicinal cannabis oil to help the sick."

Sister Kate told how - after being betrayed by her husband - she fled to California with her children where she would do people's taxes in return for chickens which she would kill to eat.

She then had the brainwave of growing cannabis - because California law dictates you can grow a limited number of plants for personal use.

It was around this time she also began to become interested in social welfare, calling herself Sister Occupy and dressing as a nun on political marches.

After strangers told her they related to her story and ideas, however, she decided to start her own new age religion - the Sisters of the Valley.

Now, calling her self Sister Kate, she produced cannabis oil with her 'sisters' to sell around the world.

In the Breaking Habits film she advocated the use of cannabis for treating illness such as epilepsy.

"It’s a wonderfully healing plant, gradually the world is starting to open up to the idea of cannabis as medicine, rather than treating it as a dangerous drug," she said.

NIGERIAN MAN ERNEST EZEAJUGHI ELECTED FIRST BLACK MAYOR OF A LONDON BOROUGH

Friday, 10 May 2019 00:05 Written by

A Nigerian scientist, Ernest Ezeajughi, made history Wednesday when he was sworn into office as the first black mayor of the London Borough of Brent, United Kingdom.

Ezeajughi, a native of Anambra State, Nigeria, was elected mayor on April 16, 2019, by the College of Councillors on Brent, London, and was inaugurated at Brent Council’s Annual Meeting and Mayor making ceremony held at Brent Civic Centre on May 1.

The impressive ceremony was attended by councillors from across the borough, representatives from Brent’s voluntary and community organisations, as well as, several distinguished personalities including Ebere Obiano, wife of the Governor of Anambra State, and a representative of the Nigerian High Commissioner to London, Ambassador George Oguntande.

Inspired by his late father and former South African President Nelson Mandela, Ezeajughi began his political career as a member of one of the founding fathers of the UK chapter of a major Nigerian political party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and became Chairman in 2010-2012.

He subsequently joined UK politics and soon became a strong member of the Labour Party. Before his election as mayor, the father of four won election for a Councillor position representing Stonebridge ward at Brent Council in 2014.

He was reelected in 2018 and performed his duties incredibly well in a political environment dominated by white people.

Within a year, Ezeajughi was elected Deputy Mayor of Brent and was, until recently, Deputy Mayor of Brent.

During his term as mayor, the illustrious son of Anambra State said he would work towards uniting diverse communities and support charity work – both in London and in his home country.

According to Brent, the mayor will be supporting two charities during his year in office:

Sickle Cell Society – First set up as a registered charity in Brent in 1979, the Sickle Cell Society is celebrating 40 years of working alongside health care professionals, parents, and people living with sickle cell to raise awareness of the disorder. The Society’s aim is to support and represent people affected by a sickle cell disorder to improve their overall quality of life.

Jason Roberts Foundation – The foundation is a registered charity working to support young people to celebrate diversity and promote respect across the UK. The Foundation has worked with hundreds of children and young people from the Brent area. In recent years the work of the Foundation has broadened to provide a more holistic programme of support, including mentoring, life skills, education and training projects within its wider sports activities and has worked with young people at risk of offending, those excluded from school or struggling in the school curriculum, and young people with physical and learning difficulties.

“It is an amazing privilege and honour to be appointed as Mayor of Brent and to serve this great borough that I have called home since 2004. I gained inspiration from my late Dad to get involved in local politics.

“In my Mayoral year, I hope to be able to work with all of Brent’s rich and diverse communities. I look forward to raising money for my two amazing local charities for the year,” the new Brent mayor said during his inauguration.

Born in Awgbu Town, in Orumba North, Anambra State, Ezeajughi had his primary, secondary and tertiary education in Anambra and was actively involved in student union politics.

He attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, where he studied Applied Microbiology. After graduation in 1998, he worked briefly in the family business before moving to England to join his wife in 2004. He has since lived in Brent.

While in England, he gained a Master of Science at Kings College London, and worked for several organisations, including the Royal Mail, Public Health England.

The scientist currently works for the Medicine and Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MHRA).

His latest feat comes on the back of Sanchia Alasia’s, who was announced as the new mayor of Barking and Dagenham, a London borough in June 2018. The equality and diversity expert became the first woman from the Caribbean to hold such a position. (f2f Africa)

Bizarre footage shows the moment that bemused police officers confronted a dominatrix as she dragged a man around on a chain through a busy railway station

The clip begins with a shot of the white-haired man kneeling on the train station floor holding a card in his right hand.

The word 'probation', written in black ink, can be made out next to 'Miss Foxx' in red ink.

The Miss Foxx in question is standing nearby holding on to the chain attached to the man's neck.

Miss Foxx, who has long red hair, appears to be talking to a pair of officers from British Transport Police.

Other people can be seen going past smiling or watching the scene in disbelief.

The man filming says: 'And it's just a fetish she said. That's why everyone's so happy about it.'

A spokeswoman for British Transport Police said: 'We were made aware of it and alerted to it.

'However, there was no real offence committed, and therefore there were no arrests or cautions. They were spoken to by officers and left the station shortly after.'

A Twitter page, purporting to be Miss Foxx, posted videos of the man on the lead in Waterloo Station, referred to as: 'Public B***h Walk.'

In a Twitter post, she added: 'I love public humiliation. Network Rail staff and public fascinated, followed me out the station like I was Kanye.

'A priest had a massive grin on his face.

'Me: "Surely you've seen this". Po po [police]: "Not in Waterloo Station". Me: "Get used to it".'

He was sentenced at Harrow Crown Court on Friday.

Notorious Nigerian Fraudster Caught In The UK After Auction House Fraud (Photo)

Tuesday, 19 February 2019 01:33 Written by
A Nigerian notorious for engaging in fraud has been arrested in the United Kingdom.

A prolific money launderer who processed more than £6m has been convicted after a National Crime Agency investigation. Kazeem Akinwale, 43, was caught after Christie’s auction house reported an attempted diversion fraud.

In March 2016 they informed the NCA that hackers had spoofed an employee’s email address, trying to divert the payment for a customer invoice into a new bank account.

Christie’s realised what had happened, did not pay the money and reported the hack which initiated the investigation into Akinwale.

NCA officers established that access to the intended beneficiary account was being made from the internet address at Akinwale’s home address in Mangold Way, Erith, east London.

In April 2016 he was arrested at home and officers recovered a Toshiba laptop, a gold iPhone and a white Samsung phone which all belonged to him.

The Old Bailey heard that downloads of the devices contained a “money launderer’s treasure trove”.

There was also evidence on these devices of Akinwale’s alias, Ola Gapiano – a name which the trial heard he had been using since at least 2008.

The jury also heard this alias was a prolific go-to money launderer for fraudsters all around the world.

The devices contained numerous references to laundering fraudulent cash, and references to bank accounts belonging to worldwide victims and also those being used to receive and transfer the money.

Today, Akinwale was convicted of: possession of articles for use in fraud (computer and phones), possessing criminal property (beneficiary bank accounts that processed £6,087,596.37); transferring criminal property (using secondary bank accounts he also held), and acquiring criminal property (his commission of £73,270.86).

Sentencing is due to take place at a later date.

Spokesman for the local health department Firas Al Izzawi said in a statement that the unnamed 25-year-old mum had a natural birth and was perfectly healthy after the procedure.

The seven newborns, six girls and one boy, are said to be in good health after receiving medical check-ups and images show four of the tiny babies lying in a bed together.

Other images show two of the tots lying together shortly after the remarkable birth which local media report is the first case of septuplets being born in Iraq.

Last year a mother at the Saint George University Hospital in Lebanon gave birth to sextuplets, three girls and three boys, all of whom survived the birth.

The children's father Youssef Fadl said that he and his wife had not been considering having more children and they now have 10 youngsters to look after.

The McCaughey septuplets were born to Kenny and Bobbi McCaughey in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1997 and were the world's first set of surviving septuplets.

Shocking: Nigerian Man Killed By His Own Family In UK For Allegedly Being 'Possessed By Evil Spirit'

Wednesday, 06 February 2019 04:40 Written by

A young Nigerian man, Kennedy Ife was killed by his family after they tied him up and performed an “exorcism” on him, a court has heard.

Mistakenly believing him to be “possessed by evil spirits”, Kennedy Ife’s parents and brothers set about “curing” him with prayer and restraint, jurors were told.

They allegedly used cable ties, rope and handcuffs to restrain the “vulnerable” 26-year-old at home in Enfield, north London, in the days before his death in August 2016.

Kennedy’s parents, Kenneth and Josephine, and five brothers Roy, Harry, Colin, Samuel and Daniel are on trial at the Old Bailey accused of his manslaughter.

Prosecutor Tom Little QC said: “This is a case in which a young man in his 20s lost his life. The reason is that his own family decided that because he had become and remained unwell he should be restrained with cable ties, rope and handcuffs.

“They decided that he should be restrained in his own home with them rather than calling 999. Ultimately that restraint was a cause of his tragic death.

“The 999 call that was eventually made for expert assistance was too late.

“The family put misguided religious beliefs about this young man being possessed by a demon or evil spirits before the obvious and common sense conclusion that he needed help and did not need to be restrained.”

Little said the Ife family held deep and unusual religious beliefs, described by one of the defendants as “charismatic Christians”.

When Kennedy showed signs of illness in August 2016, they allegedly believed he had become possessed by evil spirits and decided to restrain him, jurors heard.

Little told the court: “Instead of calling 999 or seeking other expert assistance they sought to ‘cure’ his perceived illness through prayer and restraint.

“Whether this was some form of exorcism will be a matter for you in due course.

“In short, the Ife family took the law into their own hands.”

The court heard how Kennedy’s brother Harry called 999 on 22 August saying he had been complaining of dehydration.

Paramedics who arrived at the house were told Kennedy had been behaving abnormally over three days.

On 22 August, he was said to have become very agitated and developed breathing difficulties.

Despite efforts to resuscitate him, Kennedy was pronounced dead at 10.17am.

His mother Josephine Ife told police her son had been “fighting amongst himself” and had to be restrained.

His brother Colin Ife added that Kennedy had become aggressive and spoke of the “mark of the beast 666 - god to forgive him”.

While police were at the house Colin Ife allegedly carried out an “attempted resurrection” by chanting and praying for Kennedy.

He called for Kennedy to “arise in the light of God”, jurors were told.

In a search of the family home, police found a note on Josephine Ife’s bed about the “bewitching” of offspring.

It stated: “Anyone who has bewitched your son or daughter, if you feel your son is under a spell pick up earth and throw it to north, south, east, west for four days.

“After there will be an encounter.”

Officers also retrieved an Adidas bag containing black handcuffs, cable ties and wrist bands which appeared to have been thrown into a neighbouring garden in Lancaster Avenue.

The prosecution said it amounted to an “Ife family false imprisonment kit”.

In the days before his death, members of the Ife family had turned to religious figures for help, the court heard.

Uzoamaka Ndekwu, a minister at the Jesus Sanctuary Ministries, near the Old Kent Road in south east London, was called by Josephine and Colin Ife.

On 20 August, Josephine Ife told the minister that her son had refused to see a GP and three ministers were asked to go to the family home to pray for him.

The court heard a post-mortem examination revealed more than 60 injuries on Kennedy’s body, including a possible bite.

A pathologist concluded a number of them were consistent with “forceful restraint”.

His father Kenneth, who is based in Nigeria, was found to have a bite injury to the shoulder while four of the brothers also had minor injuries.

Josephine Ife, 56, and Kenneth Ife 64, deny manslaughter, false imprisonment and causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult between 19 - 23 August 2016 along with their sons Colin, 26, twins Daniel and Samuel, 20, Harry, 32, and Roy, 33.

Marriage: London Police Tell Yoruba Women Home Truth

Saturday, 01 December 2018 09:58 Written by

Officers from the Metropolitan Police in London have taken time out to minister to Yoruba women in the UK on why they should protect the sanctity of marriage.

Led by a Yoruba speaking officer, the police were seen in a video telling a congregation at the Divine Restoration International Church in London that women should see the good in having a husband to play a role in the upbringing of their children.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the advice came amid reports that about 70 per cent of Yoruba women in England, Wales and Ireland are single mothers, who often threaten the fathers of their children with the police because of welfare benefits.

In the video, the Yoruba-speaking police team leader warned Yoruba women to stop calling the police on the fathers of their children, who are needed to raise good and obedient youngsters that would not be victims or perpetrators of knife crimes in the UK.
