On Sunday, 2nd November 2025, Benin City came alive like never before. Rockland Club, 23 Ihama Road (Opp. Legislative Quarters), was the heartbeat of the city as Goldberg delivered an unforgettable edition of the Takeover Party. From the moment the gates opened, you could feel the anticipation in the air. Guests began arriving as early as 5 p.m., eager to grab good spots and soak in the buzz. As dusk fell, the venue transformed into a glowing sea of gold, lights flashing, music pumping, and laughter echoing through the night.
The event kicked off with exciting raffle draws and consumer giveaways, instantly setting the tone for a night of surprises. Cheers erupted as lucky guests walked away with televisions, Bluetooth speakers, rechargeable fans, and Goldberg-branded merchandise. Each winner was met with applause, selfies, and chants from friends. Even those who didn’t win danced and celebrated, happy to be part of something bigger than themselves — a night where the city’s energy was the real prize.
Once the raffles ended, the energetic MC Hardvantage took the mic and shifted the energy into full throttle. Known for his ability to command any crowd, he wasted no time getting people out of their seats. He worked the audience like a true master of ceremonies, blending street lingo, witty banter, and spontaneous giveaways that kept spirits high.
The heat rose even higher during the DJ battle, the night’s ultimate showdown between two of Benin’s finest, DJ Spencer and DJ Kengifted. Each brought their A-game, spinning everything from Naija throwbacks to street anthems and mad remixes. The crowd was the judge, and their energy filled the room. When the final vote came in, it was DJ Kengifted who took the crown, bagging ₦1.5 million, while DJ Spencer went home with ₦1 million as runner-up. The atmosphere was electric — chants, shouts, and camera flashes everywhere.
Then came the big moment everyone had been waiting for, Erigga stepped onto the stage, and the crowd went wild. The King of the South didn’t need much to own the night; his presence alone was enough to send the audience into a frenzy. From his opening track, the crowd sang along word-for-word, raising bottles and phones high. “He closed his set with one of his most-loved street anthems, and the entire club was alive with fans singing along, phones raised, and hands in the air. It was a moment that showed just how much Goldberg knows how to bring people together for a night of pure enjoyment.”
Osas, a sales rep from Uselu, couldn’t stop smiling: “Benin really turned up tonight. Goldberg sabi how to bring enjoyment to the people. This one no be regular show o, this one na experience.
Ofeoritse, a student from Ugbowo, added: “I came for fun, and I got more than that. The DJs were fire, Erigga was real, and the crowd just felt like one big family. I’m definitely showing up for the next one.”
By the end of the night, everyone was drenched in sweat and happiness. Street vendors sold out, friends swapped numbers, and even strangers left as new buddies. As the music faded and lights went low, no one was in a hurry to leave.
Benin showed up. Goldberg delivered. And together, they created a golden night the city will remember for years to come.
